Advanced Programme in Supply Chain Management Certificate
IIM Calcutta shall carry out the examination and evaluation required for certification. IIM Calcutta will directly award a certificate to participants who successfully complete the programme. Giving feedback is an integral part of the completion requirements of the programme. Campus attendance is mandatory for all participants.
To successfully complete the programme participant will require (a) at least 75% attendance in each of the courses and (b) obtain no more than two “Poor” grades in the whole programme. IIM Calcutta will award a certificate of successful completion to participants who complete the programme successfully. Participants with requisite attendance but with more than two “Poor” grades will receive a certificate of participation. Failure to take an examination will result in the participant getting an "incomplete" status, and no certificate will be awarded to the participant. Also, a participant without requisite attendance (of at least 75%) in every course will not be awarded any certificate.

The APSCM capstone project requires the participants to reflect on their learnings from the programme through real-life applications of one or more of the concepts, tools and techniques covered in the programme. The idea is to take the concepts learned in the programme and apply them in one's current organization and role to either improve an existing process or introduce a new process that will likely result in better outcomes. This exercise will allow participants to assimilate the learnings from different programme modules and connect it with their respective industry applications.

Plaza, the Logistics Park of Zaragoza by Watson, Noel H., and Santiago Kraiselburd
This case illustrates the motivating drivers, the reasoning used in deciding the feasibility of the park's location, and the advantages (and disadvantages) of a project to develop a largescale logistics park on the outskirts of Zaragoza. The insights are meant to assist PLAZA management in understanding which types of customers to target and how to address the issues that could hinder the park's projected growth.
Exel PLC, Supply Chain Management at Haus Mart by Zeynep Ton and Steven C. Wheelwright
This case describes the range of activities Exel plc, a global thirdparty logistics pro vider, is now considering providing supply chain planning services instead of traditionally offering freight management and contract logistics services. However, there are risks involved in entering a new business. Through this case, participants will understand the decision in the context of Exel's two-decade relationship with Haus Mart, a leading retailer of home textiles, housewares, and home accessories in Germany.
